  • Time isnt right?

Ive tried starting the Induction Stage and cant last more than a couple days ....

Fact is ive not long given birth (baby is just now 6wks old) and its like suffering from constant TOM cravings, carbs ,sweet things so i do really well during the day and then have an almighty crash by evening,

Anyways so im thinking ill not fully commit till ive had my post natal review and my Thyroid re-checked -you see i am hypo and have had my meds played with alot during pregnancy and have to get re-checked to see if dosage is still right.

All things considered although im not 'officially' on Induction i am still watching my carbs intake (lower than ive ever had them).
I ve started exercising too (first time in nearlly a decade) gosh that sounds awful! also upping my water as i was one that never drank the right amount so im sure i was usually dehydrated most of the time but thanks to Carole and her water challenges ive made progress there so baby steps it is!

so looking to go full blown Induction Aug 1st (as PN review is 31st).

Anyway thanks for the rant I want to give this my whole dedication and reap the benefits of a healthy full life to play with my children not just sit and watch after 5 mins because im so unfit i cant do anything with them, Ive not got a choice of shall I? I must do this!!

    Re: Time isnt right?

I think you have a god plan to hold off for a couple weeks until the post-natal review. I can't say for sure (since I'm a guy so I would have glossed over that section), but I think the DANDR book mentions something about taking it easy with low-carb if you're breast feeding baby. There are too many nutrients required, too much demand on your body, and too much stress to eat a strict low carb menu. Perhaps is you were further along the OWL ladder, things would be fine, but I would put the health of baby before mom's for the next few weeks. Congratulations!

No induction if your breastfeeding right?
I think hormones are going to be your biggest issue now so close to the birth. I think that is the right approach. Give yourself a bit of time.

Good luck to you -- I hope you're able to commit fully after your PN appointment!!! Give your body time to get back to some form of normalcy before you do this!!! Your health is so much more important now with a little one....we aren't going anywhere!!

Keep up your water -- I've been so proud of you with that!!!
