  • What broke my stall:

    - Not more exercise, but I did it every day and NO EXCEPTIONS!
    - More water
    - No sweeteners, I think that's the main reason I stalled.
    - Noooooo Atkins bars. They contributed to my gain, I think...
    - Laid off the unnecessary fat, cause it brought my calorie intake up.
    - Counted my calories and MADE SURE I burnt 500 more than I consumed. No exceptions.
    - Fresh meat. No hamburgers with any filler in it.
    - No more pre-made taco spice with potato flour.

After a FOUR MONTH stall, I'm finally moving again, 2 lbs in a couple of days! So those who're whining about a week of not moving? Try 16 weeks... :P

Ailah- I am sitting here in my gym clothes ready to go work out......but feeling lazy.......had pretty much decided to blow it off and not go today. Then I read your post. Thank you, you inspired me. I am getting off my *** and going to the gym right now, this minute. You rock! Thank you! Congrads on breaking your stall. I broke my 4 month stall just recently to. I gave up splenda, dairy and nuts, and started working out. I had a huge wooshie, and am now steadily losing again. Trish

I find upping my fat % helps break a stall.

Also, for me, finishing main meals by 7pm also works.

Good for you! I had been stalled for this past couple of months and realized I was consuming far too much cheese. I cut down on the cheese and am back in business again! Started cutting down over this past weekend and I have gone down 7lbs already --- in three days no less! :joy

Now that I know cheese stalls me, I will definately be watching my intake from now on.

                        Cheese

Cheese also slows me down! I cut my intake and went from being stuck at 256lbs at the end of March to 247lbs since the beginning of this month.

I am kind of scared to say what broke my stall...

I had been stuck for several weeks and one day our of exhaustion and frustration, I ate 4 girl scout cookies. The next day I was down 3 pounds and have lost steadily since. I guess it shook up my metabolism or something.

In other words, you took in fewer calories than you burned. That's how all people lose weight.
