  • I gained...but not sure I trust the numbers on the scale.

So, last week I was at 165 and even made it to 164 mid-week. I've been pretty good but I didn't drink enough water this weekend. AND on Satuday I was in a softball tournament and ended up play FIVE 55-minute long games of softball. Can we say 'I AM SORE!?!?'. I'm not usually that active. I was so WIPED by the end of the day and I'm still hurting! Anyway, I think that playing in the heat that whole day, having 5 hours of 'working out', and not getting all my water in (plus more!) this weekend have likely played a role in the gain I showed on the scale this morning. So, I'm going to kind of chalk today's weigh-in ( 168 ) as 'void' and keep on a truckin'. I still went to swim class today and it actually helped stretch out my muscles.

I know muscle weighs more than fat, too...but don't think I could 'gain' muscle that much in just a couple days!

The best thing to do is not to beat~up on yourself & get right back on track drinking lots of fresh cold water!!!

Iam sure in a few days that the numbers on your scale will be moving in the right direction again!!!

Just Keep on Keeping On The Atkins Way!!!

I agree with Liv. You're probably retaining some water. Maybe you'll get a visit from the Whooshie Fairy.

Hopefully! I drank about 112 oz of water yesterday and will do atleast that today so hopefully that will help things a bit. I don't feel bloaty or anything. In fact I feel great. Oddly enough, I FEEL thinner and feel good. So I'll just keep truckin' along and ignore the scale for now. Not as sore today.

Oh - and yes, we won the tournament. Didn't get a medal but we got a cool trophy!

Great Attitude! If you stuck to the plan by the book you will be fine. There are many factors that could have contributed...not enough water...so many games in the heat...time of month...a high sodium meal...or whooshie coming....glad you didn't get discouraged and that you are sticking with it.

Take your measurements...it is true that sometimes we lose inches but not weight...weird but true!
