      Hi Bizzlekitty,

You're so right...it seems to be other things that are adding to the frustration and I have to get re-focussed in that department AND deal with this old back injury. Injuries can be such a challenge.

Thank you for the encouragement, I really needed it and appreciate it.

      Hugs,

        Re: What a night!

Sarina, your post makes me think I should really exercise more. I mean, not that I didn't already know this, but it makes me admit it. I've been slacking a bit now that I don't have access to a gym (yep, not a good reason). I have BFL planned from September though and can't wait to start the program!

3 years of pain?! Gosh, I hope you get to see your doctor!

I'm another member of the "No Shorts Club". I have a small waist, my arms are fine... but the legs are not something I'm proud to show. A shorter (not short!) dress is okay ifI must, but that's a 3-4x a year thing. Wearing heels makes the legs look better, but "climb" me on anything higher than 5 cm (that's a bit over 2 inches) and I'll be a very unhappy girl.

        How are you today, Sarina?

          Hi Georgiana,

You know, aside from eating this way which is crucial....if it weren't for the exercise I have done to date...I know there's no way my body would look the way it does coming from being over 400 lbs just over a year and a few months ago. Exercise plays such an important roll in losing weight and getting fit and that's pretty much my reason for being frustrated recently. Due to the old back injury and a few other health hick-ups along the way I haven't been able to get back to what I was doing. I do exercise 6 days a week but not to the degree I was.

I recently read a post regarding some dance DVD's and have invested in a few. I find that I receive the best results with cardio, having said that I like the way my body is toning up with the hand weights and other exercises too so I don't want to get rid of them or reduce them in anyway. So, I plan on continuing to run 62 minutes on my glider 6 days a week along with the upper, core, abdominal and lower body workouts (rotating them every night but I do work my abs every night) and what I will add that is new will be the cardio dance workouts in the morning. I love kickboxing but with the way my back is right now the punching action will put me out of commission.

What is BFL? I'm so interested to find out! What sort of exercising do you plan on incorporating into your daily routine...have you thought of a plan? I don't belong to gym, I find that doing everything at home for me has worked out great. What sort of exercise do you enjoy? I would be interested in hearing what you like...I'm always intrigued to take a look at what everyone else is doing...what they find most beneficial and enjoy!

Regarding my back injury...I thankfully haven't had the chronic pain for a number of years, however, my back has been in pain continuously for the last month and a bit causing me to have migraines each week that last for a number of days. Since the chronic pain left a number of years ago my back does act up off and on a few times a year...it is something I have to continuously be aware of but I haven't had this amount of pain for this long since I experienced the 3 three years of non stop pain....and that is why I'm getting a bit concerned. I will give it another week and see if it dies down and then perhaps mention it again to my doctor.

Yes, me too...no shorts for me!!!! Speaking of dresses, I purchased 4 dresses for the first time just recently. I posted a picture of me in the red one on the updated pictures that you saw on my other thread. I purchased a special one for my cousin's wedding reception coming up in early September. I have NEVER been a dress person. The one for the wedding reception comes just around my knees which I am very nervous about because I too have leg issues too and feel so....undressed even though it is really classy and quite lovely. However, I will continue on in the exercise department (that hasn't changed) and hopefully it will look that much better in a months time...here's hoping! Maybe I'll post a picture of me at the reception as an updated picture on my before and during thread. I love this dress and that surprises me because I'm so not a dress person...pants for me thank you very much!

I hear you regarding the heals!!! I loved the "climb me on anything higher" line...that gave me a great visual! I don't know how women can walk around on these 4 inch heals...talk about talented! If I tried that I'd either be on the floor or look like I had a "few too many" drinks...I wouldn't be able to walk a straight line. I do wear about a 2 inch heal every day. I recently purchased a 3 inch pair and they're going to take some getting use to!

I'm doing pretty good today aside from the back pain and the migraine, thanks so much for asking. I'm feeling better about things compared to the other night and haven't changed my plans other then increasing my exercise as mentioned above. I did have a bit of a scare this morning...I partially lost my eye sight on the way to work! My husband thankfully was driving. He wanted to take me to the hospital but I insisted he take me straight to my office (I'm a workaholic). While I was there my it became much worse but ended up getting better within 45 minutes and has been just fine ever since....I have never had this happen to me before. I think it was due to the migraine. I just finished taking some migraine medication upon arriving home. My doctor was kind enough to give me two pills as a sample..I just found out from my pharmacist yesterday that 6 of these pills cost $160.00....that is just plain crazy! You think they were covered in gold or something.

But aside from that little episode this morning and my migraine I'm doing just fine. I arrived home from work about an hour ago and plan on perhaps laying down for a half hour, then I'll cook some dinner and then jump into my exercise routine and get that over with for the night!

Btw, how's your weather in Germany? We're experiencing a bit of a heat wave here in Canada right now (it's a scorcher!).

Well, I will sign off for now but keep and touch and let me know what sort of exercise you'll be incorporating into your routine.

          Hugs,
          Sarina
