Your past posts indicate a level of frustration. Before you throw in the towel, try posting your menus for a few days on the Review Menu forum to let people with more experience with Atkins and for who it has worked, comment on your menu and make suggestions.

A stall is six weeks with no loss.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

Have you seen your clothes getting looser?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Ive only lost 1lb in 2 weeks, but 2 inches off my waist and an inch off my hips, so its going somewhere. Im sure ive read on here before many times that how much you need to lose can have an effect. Are you drinking any aspartame diet pop/soda? that can stall.
Dont lose heart, im trying so hard,as its my second time and the first time it dropped off, but health wise i feel much better so far xx

My dad can go that long with nothing showing on scales then suddenly drop five pounds of water he was holding. Hang in there! Keep the fat up, don't over do the protein. You may want to pay attention to your portions. Everybody is different, so it can take awhile to find what makes it click for your body. You aren't gaining weight during this process. How would you be eating if you were not doing Atkins and what would be happening on the scales? Think of it this way, even when you are just holding your own. The pounds don't pile on overnight, the process of getting rid of them can take time. I'm now glad I had more to loose, it took me a long time to make lasting changes in how I eat. I'm better for it.

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

          1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
          2nd mini goal: 140!
          3rd mini goal:135!
          4th mini goal: 130!

I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

              Hey Rayley,

I know you're frustrated but hang in there. Like you said above, you do notice a difference in your clothing and that is a HUGE indicator of what is truly going on...not the scales. I am going through that right now with my scales and I put on a pair of jeans JUST yesterday that I wore when I was 15 yrs old (I'm 38 now)! Go figure...I kept them because they reminded me of what I was at one time and I LOVED the color...anyway...I had a 4 lb increase over last week....I had tried these jeans on two weeks ago when those 4 lbs weren't on me and there was no way they were going to button or zip.....even with the increase in weight...yesterday they slid on and zipped up.

Sooooo, the reason I share that with you is to prove that even though the numbers on your scales are not moving...you are losing based on the way your clothing is fitting. My scales went up and I got these jeans on... Do me a favor...go and take your measurements and write them down and then in three weeks take them again and compare. I bet you'll see a difference and THAT is what you need to be going by.

There is an amazing post on this board from one of the members. She describes going from either a size 20 or 22 down to a size 16 without moving ONE SINGLE POUND on the scales....talk about shocking and strength to continue...she is living proof it happens.

The worst thing you can do right now is give in...ABSOLUTELY don't you dare give in.....there is no reason for you to do so...you'll just feel even worse about things. We're all here behind you. Hide your scales, take your tape measure out and write down your numbers. In fact...don't remeasure for another month if you can stand it.

What I would urge you to do is...if you haven't already, fit some form of exercise into your daily routine...walk, bike, dance, lift some free weights....try to do some form of cardio and do it 3 to 6 times a week. Instead of focusing on the scales and what they're not doing, I suggest that you replace that focus on doing something you can be in control of and that is exercising...which will also help with stress.

Please keep in touch and let me know how it's going. We're all behind you and feel free to pm me or drop me a visitor's message...whatever works for you.....we'll get through this together.

Girl don't put so much stock in the number if the clothes are fitting better. One day you will wake up and find you have been visited by the Whooshie Fairy!!!! Read the ingredients in your food for hidden sugars or sodium. You may be one of the unlucky ones that can't have aspartame. Try Stevia instead. Or no sweetners. Post everything you put into your mouth in fitday. You should be around 5%carb/30%protein/65%fat if you are on induction. You should be eating around your BMR a couple of hundred either way...more if you are exercising. If you have been over exercising you body may be hanging on to water. If you are not eating enough...again you may stall. Did you add a new food? Cut it out and see what happens. Are you eating your 3 cups of veggies? They do make a difference!!

Stay strong and good on ya for coming to the boards!!

my percentages on fitday are almost exactly what their suppose to be to the T!! although i have found myself not hungry lately, the thought of food just makes me sick...so i usually have a cheese stick or something if i haven't ate for say a 6 hour period. Also i am not eating the required 3 cups of veggies....

Eat your veggies before you eat anything else -- and make sure 1 cup of them are from the "other vegetable" list everyday....they have more fiber and will help keep you regular plus have extra nutrition. Also make sure you are getting enough fat daily.
