Re: confused
That's great! Congrats for the 3 lbs.
Did you lose no inches since the beginning of your weight loss journey? Or is it just these 3 lbs you've lost recently that don't seem to make any difference in your measurements? And where are you measuring?"Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Are your clothes any looser? It's often difficult to measure in the same spot every time, and then going by the way your clothes fit might be better.
In any case, you should not measure only around your arms, legs and waist. Sometimes we lose weight in funny places, like neck, wrists, calves, ankles. These are the measurements suggested in FitDay: neck, bicep, forearm, chest, waist, hips, thigh, calf.
You could also be losing fat surrounding some vital organs, for e.g. the heart or the liver. With all the exercise you're doing in addition to diet, you're definitely becoming healthier."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: confused
other than a short bout with impatience im really happy with the way things are going on atkins my energy is coming back and im losing and yes my neck and face look thinner and people can notice everything is going according to plan except for my stomach i am as carful as i can be measuring i try to stay even all the way around to my belly button so its in the same place everytime i was just confused why that particular and most important part at least to me anyway isn't losing inches. but i'll keep having at it till it comes off just thought you might have run into this before. thanks again.

Re: confused
I like those FitDay categories and use them too. I think people lose weight in different places at different times. Just like some people look thin from the waist up and their face looks "regular" but they have large bottoms/legs or vice-versa (my girlfriend is ice-cream cone shaped...her description. LOL). I am watermelon shaped. So it makes sense that things will go down differently too.Originally posted by Georgiana View PostIn any case, you should not measure only around your arms, legs and waist. Chance, your belly will catch up eventually. I lost 4" off my waist and 1.5" off my thigh during induction and my FEET got thinner but not much else changed much. My face still looks like a blowfish. :/ And usually people's faces slim down first (I think). So who knows? I guess our bodies will shrink according to their own plan...not ours. Hang in there, sounds like you're doing a great job.

Re: confused
It seems like the place we wish to lose most is always, always the place where we lose it last. I would say wait it out for three months. If there is still no change, then see a physician to see if something else is going on but I am betting that your body just holds onto the weight there more closely and you will start to see changes soon, but the wil probably come along more slowly.
