Okay looking for a little support here. I have been doing atkins since January of this year and have lost 50 pounds! Over the last couple months I have stayed in the same ten pound range due to cheats here and there and a little loss of focus. I have been consistenly working out as well. Two weeks ago I started over with induction and lost 4 pounds the first week and 0 pounds on week two. I am still in the same ten pound range i so desperetly seek to get out of. I have given up caffiene and followed induction strictly. I work out 4-5 times a week cardio and strength training. What gives?

Re: Frustrated
Hang in there....
Have you been losing any inches?
What are you eating? Anything that might be hiding on you? What do you have left to lose? Weight loss generally slows down as you go.Inaction breeds doubt and fear. 50 lbs is marvellous. What are your stats? How much more do you have to go?
Hang in there.

Re: Frustrated
If you eat too little that may be an issue. Can you give us a typical menu with amounts?

Re: Frustrated
First of all, congratulations on your weight loss and seeing the importance of refocusing your efforts on Atkins!
For a few weeks, go back to posting some menus, drinking a little more water, working out. For me, I had to change up my routine of working out every few months. What may have worked for me six months ago, doesn't work now, so I've taken steps to change that again.
Just stay focused ... if you are committed to this way of life, enjoy the journey and try to see all the changes that you may have missed along the way.

Re: Frustrated
I would avoid that atkins chocolate shake.... same with the atkins bars (if you use them).
I believe they have been known to cause stalls.

Re: Frustrated
That is not induction eating. Have you climbed the rungs again. You're eating stuff up to rung 4 there. No problem with that unless you actually want to do induction. How many carbs are you eating a day?
I think your menu is pretty good. I would try to eliminate that shake - it may be a staller and I would watch the sweeteners in diet drinks (and in the shake)
But all in all I think it looks pretty good. So it may be a question of one of those pauses things - that we all experience. Yes they are frustrating but weight will start to come off again. Just keep going.

Re: Frustrated
Have you read the 2002 DANDR book? OWL is the rungs. Rung one is 5 extra grams of veggies. Rung two adds dairy. Rung three is nuts and nut products. etc. Each rung is done in its turn and each food is introduced one at a time. That way you can, in fact, identify exactly which foods are causing your problem. If you read through the book, the OWL stages or rungs are explained completely.
