  • today was a good day

    Today was a good day,we all went out to lunch for work we went to a pizza place and all i had was a salad and some water. It filled me up everyone was trying to give me bread and pizza but i told them no thank you. I am more focused on losing weight than ever before. I have lost 23 pounds in a little less than a month and i fell so much better i just hope that i dont hit the WALL but if i do i will just have to push through it with the help of loved ones and all the ppl on this board. thanks everyone for your support

    WOW! You trust yourself much more than I trust myself. If I went to a pizza place I would have nothing BUT pizza & pasta. Good job on telling everyone "NO thanks!".

    If you hit a wall do NOT get discouraged! Come back on here and make a post about it if you think your in a stall. Post your menu, if you measure your food, etc... Don't be afraid to ask questions!

      Good for you...pizza is a tough one I've decided I love myself more than I love pizza (but it is a close second!!)

        Good for you -- that was a good test and you passed with flying colors. When you truly dedicate yourself it's so much easier not to be tempted isn't it!!! Keep up the great work.

        When you do start slowing down just remember - your body needs time to catch up and adjust to all the changes. I hope you took your measurements so you'll know if you are still loosing inches if not pounds!!

          If I'm confronted with pizza and find my willpower failing, I'll just eat the topping and leave the crust.

          You still get a heavy dose of salt, but that beats slow death by flour poisoning anyday.

            congrats man... the pizza buffet is one of the hardest...

            i have found the new Donato's "Pizza No Dough" which equates the full pizza, toppings and all down to 14/15 carbs... so.. my wife and I know split that.. but.. we are still for the most part just staying away from pizza all together.

              If you want Atkins-legal pizza, here's what I do: I make revolution rolls and make mini pizzas on top of them (complete with legal toppings, mozzarella, etc) and then put them under the broiler for a few minutes. They're delicious!

              Goal #1 - 260 - Met 04/12/09! Goal #4 - 230 - Met 08/03/09!
              Goal #2 - 250 - Met 05/22/09! Goal #5 - 220 - Met 01/29/10 FINALLY!

                Or the cauliflower pizza. It rocks (but it is cheesy) It still rocks.

                  Congratulations! What an accomplishment and you should be proud. I'm sure there were all kinds of reasons you could have given yourself to go ahead and cave in, but you didn't!!!
