does anyone else honestly find that the littlest bit of food anymore fills them up?
I've been doing this now for 8 months and ya'll know how fabulous I think this lifestlye is. i absolutely LOVE it.
One thing - though - even after 8 months and being close to goal, I find that that when i eat lunch - around 1 p.m. - i'm stuffed until dinner (usually around 7 or
and sometimes i'm still not even hungry BY dinner time...!
for example - yesterday I had a few pieces of thick roast beef for lunch, dipped in mayo, around 12:30 p.m. (i dunno - maybe a total of about 4 ounces?...) and a little bit of my broccoli that I brought (maybe 1/2 cup, if that)...
and seriously - by the time I got home and was getting dinner ready for DH - around 7 - I just wasn't that hungry. I had a few bites of dinner and that was it for the night. whereas i DH had a full plate of brown rice and the meat (don't worry i didn't have any rice, just the meat/tomatoes from the meal).
Breakfast was, yesterday:
2 sausage links (no-anti-biotic, no-nitrate/nitrite, etc...buy mine from whole foods - not even fatty - maybe 10 g fat for 2)
protein shake:
1 cup coconut milk beverage - 50 cals/1 g carbs/5 g fat
1 scoop greens/whey protein mix - 50 cals/1 g carbs/0g fat
1 tbsp flax seeds - 30 cals/.5 g carbs/2 g fat
1 tbsp coconut oil - 120 cals/14 g fat
1/4 cup blackberries - 25 cals/4 g carbs
so that satiated me until lunch around 12:30 or so...
that's a total of 375 cals for breakfast with about 31 g fat 6 g carbs
then i eat that small lunch
4 ounces roast beef
1/2 cup broccoli
and seriously i almost didn't even WANT dinner last night. I had a few bites of it (made an eye of round roast in the crockpot - brought the rest for lunch today) but that was it. I mean maybe about 4 ounces of dinner last night.
it's just so weird to remember when i was eating low-fat and how i was CONSTANTLY hungry ALL the time...i'd eat breakfast around 8 and be starving by 11 - now i easily go to 12:30 / 1
and eat lunch around 1 and usually would be starving by 4 and now i can make it almost all day long!
it's just nice to stop and think that my body has changed SO much - it's not constantly wanting/needing food.
