  • Have to vent sorry

So... I DO NOT AT ALL get along with my SIL. Anyways, before my surgery I had lost 8 lbs . But now have lost 6.Oh well that not a big deal. Anyways, my SIL called me before the surgery, and asked me how I was taking the strict diet instructions from my doctor (no low carb, high fiber as I was on pain pills), and it was only for a week. I had told her that it was no big deal, and that I would jump right back on atkins/low carb when I was done. She started yelling and argueing with me that she cant believe that I do this STUPID diet and I am ruining my body, and I will have to eventually quit soon enough. Because we plan on getting pregnant soon, and you CANNOT CANNOT be on atkins or low carb while pregnant. I told her otherwise, and she just started argueing with me more. She is SO RUDE. I guess now I know why I NEVER talk to her, and try to stay as far away from her as I can. She is just a toxic person! Sorry had to vent, okay I feel better now!!! Oh and by the way and am back on atkins/induction for now, since my surgery and major part of recovery is over.

    Re: Have to vent sorry

I get the SIL thing. I have three I absolutely love and one that is simply obnoxious and can poison any goodness that exists on earth. So, it is an easy decision ... I have caller ID. I never answer the phone when she calls. I avoid her. Half way through my loss on Atkins, she told me she knew it wouldn't work. Okay .... there ... I vented, too.

Sorry about the family fueding.. I totally understand!!! Just to let you know, protein is really great in healing after surgery. Also of course you are not suppose to do introduction of Atkins, but maintance is fine. If you look at my favorite pregnancy diet which is called the "brewer diet" here is a link: Pregnancy Diet you will see that you could total twink it a little and probably still be really close to Atkins atleast adding in some of the rings and just remember that you don't have to eat junk just b/c your not on Atkins!!! I only gained 14 pounds with my last pregnancy and that was doing a "healthy" diet. It was so good to have been lower than to begin with once she was born. Totally different from the first pregnancy and gained 40 pounds.. .never lost hardly an ounce, in fact gained after she was born and got pregnant with the 2nd... Best of Luck..

It is okay if it takes me a little longer to get there, besides this is where I'm going to stay forever and that is a really long time!!!

OMG, Sweetz, doesn't that just frost ya? Where in any pregnancy guidelines does it say that you have to eat starch and sugar? Well, some probably do but those are funded by the wheat and sugar councils...or Kraft. I think SIL is envious because you CAN follow a food plan and stick to it...and she maybe cannot. Plus, some people just plain suck.

My SIL absolutely HATED me and would continually send Mr. Ski letters about how he should never get married...especially to me. That translated to her being afraid that her share of my FILs estate might be smaller with me in the picture. We had to have security guards (off duty police) at the wedding because of her...relatives on both sides thought the other must have mob ties or something.

I learned as the years went on to avoid toxic people at all costs...esp. related ones! Good to hear that your recovery and diet are coming along nicely.
