Im almost down to my goal.. and was just curious if anyone knew how to count the carbs in whole pasta. Now I realize I see the carb count on the box but the atkins bars say one carb count but another for the net count.... anyone can help would be greatly appreciated. AG

Re: 100% whole wheat pasta??
The net count of carbs is total carb minus fiber carb. So you have to look for total carb then deduct the fiber. Pasta will be very carby.
Proceed with caution (and small servings)
(PS in my opinion the Atkins net count is pretty much bogus - they do not count some of the glycerin they should count as part of their carbs. But that is another story)

Sorry off topic but can you kindly elaborate on the "glycerin as part of their carb" story? I would really like to know. THanks!!!Originally posted by liv View PostThe net count of carbs is total carb minus fiber carb. So you have to look for total carb then deduct the fiber. Pasta will be very carby.

Re: 100% whole wheat pasta??
I actually like whole wheat pasta more then normal pasta (not that I can have it right now anyway). I was eating whole wheat pasta before Atkins and plan on adding it back as part of a side dish when I get to the proper rung (tuna or chicken salad with some pasta, yummy). I have a ton of the stuff in my cabinets tormenting me.

I'm still trying to figure out what sadness tastes like.Originally posted by Empyre View Postya but it tastes like sadness....lol (kidding)
I was thinking more along the line of some of those zero calorie/zero carb frankenfoods. Now THAT's sadness!
