  • Vacation, and how to avoid carbs..

I've been on Atkins for nearly three months now, and have lost 20 pounds...

But I'm going to vacation in Japan for two weeks starting tomorrow.

There is no way in **** I can avoid rice, or carbs. I will be staying with a friend and her parents, so it would be incredibly insulting for me to say no to anything they cook for me.

My plan is to go on the fat fast when I come back, then go back to extended induction.

Has anyone else done this? I think I will be going from 20 Carbs to 100/150 a day there. Although we will be walking everywhere almost all day... will the exercise alone be enough to counter-act the sudden explosion of carbs?

Nah forget the fat fast. Just do your best when you are gone and then when you come back jump on to induction and go from there.
The fat fast is not meant to be used like that. And it is not going to help you.
I went away last spring and was in a similar situation - not really able to decide any food - that is what I did. Went fine.
