First let me say that I did cheat last Thurs (dairy queen blizzard) and Sunday on vaca. I jumped right back on Monday and still am not losing weight. I started induction Aug. 20th, lost 10 lbs and gained 3 back. currently, 266 lbs and 5'5. My meal plan is as follows: Breakfast: 2 eggs, 5 slices Turkey bacon. 2 cups coffee (with 1 package sweet n lo each). Lunch: 2 Turkey burgers and 2 Tbs mayo. 1 cup lettuce, 2 tbs full fat Ken's blue cheese dressing. Snack: 1 Nathan's Hot Dog Dinner: 2 grilled chicken breasts, 2-3 tbs mayo. 2 cups lettuce, 2 tbs Ken's blue cheese dressing. Snack: 1 serving sugar free jello cup. I haven't exercised in 2 weeks but plan on resuming. Am I doing something wrong here in my menu? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

It's going to be okay. I ate a big cheat meal on Easter and I paid for it for weeks. It's just how it works sometimes. It also has to do with (sometimes) where you are in your cycle. There are many variables. How much sodium is in the hot dog? I'd cut out the sugar substitutes until your body hits the loss groove again. The only thing I can guarantee you is this, stay on plan and the plan will pay you back. I've never heard of someone following the book to the letter and just not losing weight ever. If you stick with it, you get what you want. You need to drink lots of water and start that exercising again to deplete the sugar in your body. It'll help bring ketosis faster.

First of all, just my own experience...it takes me several days to rebound from cheating. So maybe just give it a little more time.
Anyhoo..as for your diet...overall, it looks pretty good to me but some things I will mention:
~coffee. I am a HUGH coffee addict, so it is hard for me to say anything about that but it might be something to look into as it really isn't' recommended.
~sweetener. Is there a reason you aren't using splenda?
~dressing. What is in it? Hidden sugars at all? I use Marie's Blue Cheese, no sugar in it.
~hot dog. What is in that? Are you putting anything on it?
~jello. I have only found one diet jello made with sucralose (splenda) and that is Hunt's brand (the little premade cups). Even with that, I use it sparingly.
~veggies. Are you eating something other than the salads? Your salad amounts look fine but you should also look at the list of other veggies allowed. For example, I would typically eat 2 cups of salad, then 1 cup of green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, or zucchini, etc. More information on the allowed veggies are in the "stickies".
~drinks. What are you drinking? Are you getting your water in?
And as you know, exercise is very important.
Good luck! Don't get discouraged because you will get right back on track and be losing again.

All the turkey products also that i have found have sugar in them and other jnk. Might check the labels on those too, and good luck.

You may need to reduce your portions: go lighter on the meat and heavier on the salad vegetables. If you are female, one hamburger patty at lunch and one chicken breast at dinner is probably sufficient. I was eating portions that were much too large before I started Atkins. We get in a mindset that we need LOTS of food but in actuality our bodies are not designed to handle such large amounts.sigpic starting 12/26/2008

For lunch you had 1 cup of lettuce, dinner 2 cups of lettuce ---- you really need something other than that vegetable - there is very little (if any) nutrition in 1 cup of lettuce). You should be eating 2 cups of loosly packed lettuce (or salad vegetables on the list) AND 1 cup of vegetables off the "other" vegetable list. You are only eating lettuce - get something other than that in you.

If a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food list don’t eat it. Learn to read the label on all foods you buy - don’t just look at the “carb” number look at the ingredients list of everything and check the ingredients against your list. Just because it says "low carb" doesn't mean you can eat it. Also check for hidden sugars (learn the names used in place of the word “sugar”).
I eat Nathan's hot dogs and don't have much problems with them but I eat them maybe once a month.
Also, it's time to decide if you want to have DQ blizzards or if you want to loose weight....you can't do both. Once you get going you will be able to add foods (and snacks) back into your daily meals.
The gel snacks are chemically derived and Jello brand uses aspartame (not recommended or allowed) - the Hunts brand uses Splenda. The times I have used one of the Hunts brand I don't loose anything for a few days so, for me, I just don't use them.
Keep at it -- have you read the book? There is so much information in it that you won't normally find on the board. You can get them fairly cheaply online (or maybe at your local bookstores).
