    Hi everyone,
I recently finished the two week induction and lost ten pounds. I am now almost finished with my third week but I havent lost anything. I hardly eat any carbs, maybe 15-20 grams a day, since I haven't lost anymore i'm afraid to increase my carb intake. Should I eat more? What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Absolutly nothing wrong. this is a period right oafter that initial weight loss everybody has were the scales don't move. I call it the post induction hesitation period cause that is all it is and it happens on every weight loss plan. For very complicated biochem reason our body is morphing our total mass. It is losing fat mass gaining lean body tissue storing fluids etc but the scale can only tell you how the effect of gravity is on your total mass so it doesn't see the changes. This is where your tapemeasure every body was telling you to make friends with during induction really comes in handy. Check your inches and you shouold still see inches of fat melting off.

Keep eating your atkins doing your mandatory exercise part new exercise challenge starts tomorrow, and drinking your water and you will be a loser!

    HAppy low carbing.

        Post menus...

Post some Menus, use fitday for a while until you get the "Measuring by eye" thing down, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and watch the cheese intake. Too much cheese might cause a stall. Also read your DANDR---it states that stalls are not uncommon during a few of the weeks that follow induction. :yes

Also are you taking any supplements??? Make sure that they are ATKINS supplements. If you are taking another brand, it may contain starches, sugars, or fillers---which also cause stalls. (I HAD THIS PROBLEM ABOUT A WEEK AGO! :yes )

        Hope this helps :wave

The same thing happened to me and I stopped Atkins for a month. I thought if I lost It that quick it ought to keep going. Fortunately I only gained 1 pound throughout that month and realized I could do it. Remember muscle weighs more than fat and if you exercise you gain muscle so your scale may go up or just stay the same but your clothes WILL get looser.
