  • WAHHHH What am I doing wrong! :(

So I just completed my 2nd week of the Induction phase - I have eaten correctly and the first week I lost about 4 lbs. and I was really happy!

Now this week I got on the scale and I lost NOTHING I am 5'6" and 156.8 lbs and 28 years old. Last week I was roughly eating like 1,100 - 1,200 calories a day and 20 grams net carbs. You can look for my profile on thedailyplate.com and search for katytorres to see what I was eating last week. I just feel like I have been pretty strict with myself, and I work out 4-5 times a week and I am feeling like it's all for nothing!!!!

Can anyone give me any ideas on what could be wrong or what I should do?

Also someone told me I am not eating enough calories, but I feel like I CAN'T eat anymore! And I am not allowed to have the calorie dense foods yet such as nuts, etc. And what I read the Atkins diet doesn't say anything about controlling your calories. For instance, this morning I ate 2 medium eggs, colby cheese, and 3 strips of bacon and I feel so full and disgusted that I don't want anything else!

I know there are some pros on here and I am just a newbie so ANY help or advice would be great. Thank you!

It is normal to see a pause in the second week. Just stick to the programme and things will start moving again

I don't think I can search profiles on the daily plate without being a member. You may have to provide an example of your menu here.

I hate to sound like a broken record but, those calories seem really low. Lack of proper caloric intake can cause your body to stay in "starvation" mode. I know its hard but really give it a shot. Worked for me

I agree that the calorie intake sounds really low, however, I know from experience that the 2 weeks of induction totally make me NOT hungry. I have also noticed that it is difficult sometimes to really count all the calories we are eating...like making chicken salad (exactly how much mayo did I add-without using a scale).

Stick with the plan, you will get a little more of an appetite and the extra calories will help with the weightloss. Also after two weeks of induction step up to OWL. Don't weigh as often and when you do weigh you will notice that you have episodes of *whoosh* as some call it, times where you lose nothing then bam 3-5 pounds vanish over night.

I was feeling the same way. But then I started exercising. Really exercising. Weights, strength training with bands, and hiking 3 miles. Now I'm eating enough calories, and the weight is coming off faster. Exercise really makes a big difference...
