maria - this is a common side effect of taking the diet pill Alli. I hope you aren't taking any supplement that blocks the absorpotion of fat in to your system, and hope your doc has some more info for you tomorrow.
This is a common gallbladder issue for those with a nonfunctioning/low functioning gallbladder. If your GB had low functioning to begin with (you would never know unless tested) you can end up with the oil slick, severe nausea and vomiting, rapid heart rate, etc. It took a year for my Atkins style to set this off but only took my mother a short time. If you think it could be a GB issue, a HIDA scan is the only thing that will tell.
Diet pills that block fat absorption would cause this as well.
Thanks for answering every1, went to the docs and all is good, i didnt post straight away after id been because i had to wait until my results were back.
I know the affects of diet pills but have never taken them on this diet and know never to even consider it, it must have been what i drank, apparently some oils are undigestable, damn thing!!
the oil has completely gone now and im back to normal, phew!!!
from now on im sticking to the basics, lol!
Thanks again every1 xx
Alli made my stool look like popcorn oil. Don't want to sneeze or cough while taking that.Occasionally if I have a very heavy fat meal, I will have a similar stool. It is just the undigested fat.
I am glad to hear you found the reason for that unexpected toilet problem, Marialouise and are back to normal now
