Sometimes the inches will fall off first and then you'll see a whoosh! Keep at it, it will be so worth it!

Do not get discouraged. Take those measurements and keep going. It will come!!

Post everything you eat for a couple days here Review My Menu - Atkins Diet and let people see if they can find something you may be overlooking.
Make sure you are drinking 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added) daily -- you should be exercising already (it's mandatory on Atkins) and make sure your eating foods on the acceptable food list.Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily

Well, I've had some similar problems and thought I must be really resistant to weightloss. Now its not like that though,8 to 10 pounds comes off the first week back at it. It could be eating the wrong kinda or amounts of veggies. It could be hormones. It could be that TOM! I have really liked fitday.com for getting my fat up high enough and working out my meals. I loose slowly, mostly I chalk that up to cheats. Try fitday, just find and tell it what you eat to get an idea of the % of fat and protein and carbs and calories you taking in. It helped me after I thought I knew what I was doing already.

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.
1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
2nd mini goal: 140!
3rd mini goal:135!
4th mini goal: 130!
I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

Hang in there. I'm at the end of week 2, and I only lost 2 lbs my first week as well. But this week I lost 4 (and my "week" still has one day left). I've measured myself, and I lost an inch in almost every body part. That's huge!
I have a sllllooooooow, resistant metabolism, so I'm stepping up the exercise. But if I lost between 2-4 lbs a week, I'm going to be okay with that. No, it's not dramatic or significant, but it's real.
Keep at it -- next week may surprise you. Just the energy level alone this week was well worth it.
