    This is great!! I did Induction, but I didn't eat hardly any vegetables, and I don't eat near enough calories. I printed this out and I'm going to hang it on the fridge. Thank you!

        My suggestions:

        - Cook with butter and Extra Virgin Olive Oil - no low-fat, synthetic or margarine sprays or spreads.
        Liberal amounts of fats and oils are permitted. This includes butter, mayonnaise, olive oil or other oils that are liquid at room temperature such as canola, walnut, soybean, grapeseed, sesame, sunflower and safflower oils, especially if they are labeled "cold-pressed" or "expeller pressed." Consume no hydrogenated oil or other trans fats--including margarine and spreads.

        From DANDR 2002 pages 127 & 228. I really wanted to point out that not everyone uses just EVOO. Didn't know quite how to phrase it so I'm posting what's in the book.

          OK what if we pared it down to "Cook with butter, EVOO and other natural oils (ex: walnut, sesame, etc.)" Do you think that's illustrative enough for a quick guide?

          I think an issue with the book for people who are not huge readers is the many, many detailed lists. It's an overwhelming amount of information to take in when you just want to know what to do - so too many people seem to be going "right, bacon and eggs, salad, steak and jello - that'll do."

          No. I don't. What is that and why does it sound like something I don't want to eat?

          Bugger. I found the "nothing ending in -ose" rule so, so easy and helpful on my first shopping trip. Maybe I'll just add an exception.

            How about:

            Cook with butter, olive oil or other natural oils (ex: canola, grapeseed, etc.)

            I was trying to pick the most common oils that most people would have in their pantries.

            9/ Up to 3 packets/servings of artificial sweetener, preferably Splenda.
            How about adding the sucralose thing here:
