  • Losing weight sucks... :(

    My clothes never fit me.....

I just bought 2 pairs of 34" jeans a month ago. Now they are loose and I need a belt to keep them up. I went to the store today because the only dress pants I had were size 38. I was trying on pants and now 32" fit with no problem, and I can almost get into a 30. Needless to say I'm not going to buy any more 32s. I just bought a shorter belt so I should be good to go for a little while. Baggy style is in right now, right?

Also none of my old shirts fit now either. I'm starting to look really goofy in my old XL shirts now. I've been slowly acquiring medium shirts, which should hopefully last me a while.

    Anyway enough complaining...

    The goodside....
I can pretty much leave my mountain biking riding buddies in the dust now. I could keep up before, but apparently losing 60lbs helps out a bit.

        Yep, life is really tough.

              Re: Losing weight sucks...

lol I hear you. I have 2 pairs of jeans, one pair of dress pants and one dress that fit me. I am not putting money into more clothes until I go down a size...someday. I weeded out my XL and plus sized shirts and just wear the size L ones I had. They are a bit big but ok.

Awesome about the mountain biking too.

                  Re: Losing weight sucks...

Well, that part does suck. At the end of last winter I bought a lot of really nice shirts in a large. I'm gonna wear them even if they are loose this year! Mostly I shopped at thrift stores to stay in clothes cheaply. I said when I hit goal weight, then I'd get NEW new pants. I'm weird, I'll use paper cups with the kids yet I manage to feel strongly about recycled clothing??? Oh, well. YOU GO!

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

                  1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
                  2nd mini goal: 140!
                  3rd mini goal:135!
                  4th mini goal: 130!

I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

                    Re: Losing weight sucks...

I've already raided the thrift store for shirts. (college student) Think I'll hang onto my 34 jeans for a bit, my new belt helps Going to wait until I can fit in 30s before I buy more pants. That was what i wore back in early high school, which was around my goal weight.I'm not one for shopping, but trying on and fitting into smaller clothes is kinda fun.

                      Re: Losing weight sucks...

losing weight is expensive for the reason of having to buy new clothes. Its one of the things I was afraid of but....buying new good looking clothes has actually been a great experience.

                      Still spendy though

I needed to update and get with the times anyways....

Yeah, its weird, I hated clothes shopping before, but now I don't really mind it.
