        for the post, Georgiana. I don't know how you find the time, but I'm glad you do. is so fortunate you do take the time to break down these articles into such wonderful common sense. Thank you.

            Hi Rita yes you're right it's tough to think that we HAVE TO do anything. But as has been said the water intoxication thing is a stretch. While I'm definetly a proponent of as MUCH water as possible, that's only cause for me it fits and makes me feel great.

            I understand the points made about being strict with what's been "dictated" to us by Dr. Atkins and DANDR 2002. I also definetly understand your point about the dogmatic attitudes- sometimes it gets on my nerves too and I wanna do it MY way

            But we all know this diet is by the book. Anything else is a modified version of it- that doesn't mean THAT can't work for a person, it just means it goes "against" the rules hhha

            Best of luck to you with continued success- you've lost an awful lot of weight and look great!

                    I'm really sorry if I made anyone think drinking their water is unsafe. I googled "drinking too much water" just to see if there ever was a problem with it. I came across the artical and thought it was kinda interesting. I have been known to drink a good amount of water all at once to get it over with. Never two gallons thankfully! I read it thought, Okay no more sucking it all down at once! I usually get plenty of fluids, I'm always sipping on something. I just decided for myself to count other fluids besides pure water. I posted it in chitchat because I thought it was interesting in a freak accident sort of way. More like stranger than fiction and I was truely crabby about drinking my water that day. I didn't think before I posted. I should have realized it might scare a newbie into not drinking enough water. And drinking enough FLUIDS (okay WATER!) is IMPORTANT! I am really sorry.



                    My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

                    1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
                    2nd mini goal: 140!
                    3rd mini goal:135!
                    4th mini goal: 130!

                    I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.
