    hi.

Your muscles are sore for a couple of reasons.
    1. Lactic acid built up in your muscle tissue while you exercised. Lactic acid is a by-product of muscle energy use.
    2. When you vigorously exercise your muscle will tear alittle. In response to that little injury, that area will become inflamed and fluid will collect in that area---it's a normal response of your body.

So you probably are retaining a little water. How much? Well, 1 cup of water weighs 8.3 ounces.

I concur .. its water retained in the muscles ... it will pass as the soreness goes away ... KEEP WORKING AT IT!

not only do they get fluids from tears but they in response to your increasing your workout load store up fluids because oif genitic factors all humans have, this is called superhydrating. they will release the fluids when your body realizes the extra load is now its normal load.

        Happy low carbing.
