I just started on Atkins and was wondering what vitamins work best with the diet? I know everyone was saying to stay away from too much iron. Just wondering what brands everyone is taking.

Re: Suggestions.
I have found while looking at vitamins that the only ones low or with no iron in them are for women 50+. Has all the other vitamins in it, just no iron. It comes in several brands, including store brands, which in these tight economic times, if you can get the same product but cheaper, I'm all for it.

Re: Suggestions.
I would check the children's vits for sugar content.Originally posted by GRAPES View PostUP until reading the above posts, my doctor told me to take children's vites, so I was taking cartoon chewables...lol. I think I'll check out the Centrum Silver.
I do Centrum vits too. In the winter I take extra D. And I usually take extra magnesium, potassium and calcium

Re: Suggestions.
I was feeling a craving coming on and decided to boil some eggs for a snack and looked down on the label and it said that each egg had 1 g of carb. Does that mean I need to count eggs..so confused. I had 13 g of carbs today and ate two eggs so I wasn't close to being over or anything, but I was under the impression that eggs were considered 0 on the acceptable foods list.Best of luck in all your endeavors,
Stephanie

Re: Suggestions.
Eggs actually have half a carb each in them, not a full one.

Re: Suggestions.
I think the food manufacturer had rounded up the carb count to 1, but so does that mean I need to count the eggs or not, because on the acceptable foods list eggs are counted as 0. I am just trying to clear up confusion so I know what I am putting into my mouth everyday.Best of luck in all your endeavors,

Re: Suggestions.
I count them myself. It's not a free for all food, but it is something that you can eat several of without putting much of a dent in your daily allowance of non-veggie carbs.
