Oh, Jak... When I explained you what foods can be eaten during Induction and gave you the links to some FAQs a few months ago, I thought you will at least read my reply and the sticky threads, if reading DANDR is too much to ask.

    Here, let's try again: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...le-atkins.html

Do yourself a huge favor & read the book~~Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution. 2002 version is the copy we use here at ADBB. You can get a copy on Amazon.com, at Borders or you may find a copy at a thrift store.

I don't wanna sound like your mom, Jak, but Cliff Notes efforts yield Cliff Notes results. You're going to get out of this what you put into it, and if you don't even bother to invest the time to learn about what you're trying to do or read the responses some of the good people here have invested their time to share with you, well......like I said, you're going to get out of it what you put into it.

Read the book . It's worth the time it takes.

        Take care.

Jak, If you don't want to buy the book, at the very least head over to the library and make some photocopies of key food lists. I shutter at the thought of someone JUST eating meat. Doing this you are not only not doing Atkins, but you are not eating healthy AT ALL (healthy fresh eating is what Atkins is all about). As you can see from the incredible people on this site, eating on plan brings amazing success (and yes we eat salad). Read up on your facts, commit to this WOE and then we are all here to support you!

Re: do i have to eat just meat for induction

Atkins isn't the just eat meat diet! You can eat two cups of salad veggies a day, plus another one, or a cup of veggies from the catagorie. Please look at the links the others provided. Go to the acceptable foods list and figure out what you'd like with your meat. Yes, just eating meat is not good for a body. This is a meat, veggie, cheese diet for induction. Although the cheese is limited to 4 ozs. If you are listening to a friend who is telling you its only meat, then they didn't read the book either. Reading isn't everyone's thing, and I do understand that, but the lists of foods and stuff is the shortcut! Do it right and you'll be soooo much happier.

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

            1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
            2nd mini goal: 140!
            3rd mini goal:135!
            4th mini goal: 130!

I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

If you're having problems going to the bathroom, I'm guessing you didn't eat the amount of salad veggies as Dr. Atkins recommends. I used to have problems with that too, and then i started eating more salad.
