  • 20 pounds down :)

    This is mainly for the newbies. My husband MADE me get on a scale to see how much I've lost because I kept asking him do I look smaller???? Almost everyday I finally bought a scale and I'm down from 170 to 150 which for my 5'2" frame is a big deal. I started Atkins almost two months ago and really learned everything I could and stuck to it and I am already down twenty pounds.
    I do work out and its not always easy, but knowing that what I'm doing everyday is actually working to make me a better, healthier, happier person, is sooo motivating.
    I know hearing that it actually works made me feel motivated in the beginning to stick to this way of eating when my husband was sitting next to me eating mexican food and drinking beer (my favorites) so just thought I'd share.

    Keep up the great work everybody and good luck to all the newbies!!!

    You can see the difference in my face in my albums on here......im not so savvy with the photobucket and all that.

        CONGRATS on your loss! You're right, the 20 pounds makes a HUGE difference and it's very motivating to hear. Thanks for posting and continued success to you.

                          Thats 20 pounds in TWO months.

                          All the water I am now drinking has DEFINITELY helped. All I use to drink were dinosaur sized cokes
                          Horrible.

                            Congratulations. I have really enjoyed reading what everyone has to say. Yes..it is hard to sit next to someone, watching them enjoy all your favorite foods, but it is going to be worth it in the end.

                            I have lost 6 pounds so far and I have promised myself that I will not weigh until Oct 20. Getting on the scales everyday fighting the same pound makes me frustrated so I am only going to weigh 1X a month. I am a Breast Cancer Survivor going on three years and thought about Atkins for years. (been overweight for 25 years, going from 145 to 230+). I have seen so many people completely change their lifes with this Diet and decided to give it a try. I bought the "BOOK" and in the process of reading completely to try to put my fears behind me about the Atkins Program. I feel good, drinking my water, and trying to exercise every day. Keep the WORDS coming....

                            PS - would like to hear from any Breast Cancer Survivors to get their take...
