Re: i feel like giving up

I think you posted in the wrong thread...but all I can say is stick two it and when it is time to move to OWL do it, you should start losing again. You might have what we call PISS (Post Induction Stall Syndrome). I had it week 3 of induction and as soon as I moved on up to OWL the weight started coming off again.

    Good luck.

Did you read this, Shalisa: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ot-linear.html ?
I know from your previous thread you've cheated and before that you ate the bars. Once you get things back under control, the scale might be friendlier. However, you shouldn't care about the scale. Are you still losing inches? Is your appetite under control? Are you feeling better eating this way that you did eating a high carb diet?

By the way, are you exercising and taking a vitamin supplement? What's your menu like (incl. quantities)?

PS: I moved the thread to the right forum.

Re: i feel like giving up

          hang in there,
it can be difficult and frustrating, and i completely understand how u feel.
dont mind my status, coz its pretty old. i now weigh around 142, and i started this diet about a month ago weighing in at 144. i keep losing 2 -3 pounds, but i gain them back, and then i lose the same 2 -3 pounds and then gain them right back again. its extremly discouraging.
try to modify ur diet alittle better. find things that stall u or make u gain wight and eliminate them. i recently just found out that my protein intake (chicken, fish, hotdogs bacon...etc) is extremly high. so im cuting back on that, and just increased my vegi intake and started to lose again.
losing weight is never easy sweety, so even this hearty delicious satisfying diet requires some disiplin.
so just hang in there, and u will lose weight

Re: i feel like giving up

Rather than mess with the Xenedrine (I have never found that stuff to do much for me) give the diet a chance. This isnt an overnight fix. It is a lifestyle change that means you need to do it correctly over time. If you do, then the results will come. It seems like you want results yesterday and are getting frustrated when you havent even completed a clean Induction yet. It took a long time to get fat. Recignize that it will take just as long or longer to get thin again.

Re: i feel like giving up

Hi, okay I have not even started yet so I am not sure I have a right to comment but I have researched all week and start tomorrow. If I understand right you are still on induction. Why are you taking bars and shakes? they are not for the first two weeks to my understanding? What amounts of foods are you eatting? you are only allowed 2 cups of certain vegetables and 1 cup of others. Are you following that? ephedrine speeds up your heart rate which in this case would serve no purpose. I would suggest doing Atkins EXACTLY as it is written. The bars and shakes...get ride of them. Eat what you are suppose to and drink lots of water. I am starting tomorrow and am so excited. I have already found some great foods to make and even made a mushroom quishe last night so that its ready in the fridge for quick breakfasts. I ate everything low fat before and totally understand its the sugers and carbs> i also understand for reasearching and reading these boards that you have to be serious about this plan for it to give you any results. I am not trying to rude but are you sticking to the plan as its written? I would assume not totally. I think you should restart the induction and stick to it exactly. What are you eating? can we see your menu for a day or two to see? that would help us suggest things. Ok others not me because all I have done is research and
research. no offense but you can't do something half assed and expect great results. I learned that...

                Have you read the book?
