  • another question

    Am i supposed to count the eggs i eat as carbs? most ppl say u can eat eggs every day and a few of them so just wondering if they count or not?? by the way, im down 8.6 lbs on day 8!!!

    Yes, you count the carbs in eggs. You count absolutely everything you eat and has carbs, so this includes eggs, spices, cream, mayo, cheese, sweeteners (if you have any).

    I don't know if you are aware of this, but in the US, if the carbs are less than 0.5 g per serving, the product can be labeled as having zero carbs. So check the ingredients (you should check the ingredients anyway, to see if the product really is "legal" for Induction or only low carb) and if any of them has carbs, then the carbs are not zero. An example for this is mayo, which has 0.2-0.3 carbs per serving, even though no carbs are listed on the label. If you eat a tablespoon of mayo it won't make a big difference, but if you eat more servings (of mayo or of similar "zero carb" foods) the carbs will add up.

        If something says zero carb (unless it's plain water from my tap or a gallon jug I buy) I count it - just to be sure. As Georgiana said, they are allowed to cheat a little and say "0 carb" when it's actually not.
