I messed up, I was doing well on my diet and then I ended up eating something that I thought was carb-free but realized that it wasn't. It had something like 30 or more carbs in it and I was already almost at my 20g limit for the day. Should I just not eat anything the rest of the day? Will that cancel it out or am I out of luck?

Just get back on Atkins and stick to it. It happens, add a food then find out what's in it. It may knock you out of ketosis for awhile but your body will get back into the swing of things soon enough. The best thing to do is just get back into a normal routine with the diet. What you the most of the time will win out. No need to starve off those carbs quick or miss a meal. Just let them gradually fade out and get back to a routine. If you usually have this for dinner and are happy with, do that. Part of the whole diet thing is it can take awhile and you want to be happy while on it. It'll just be what you eat after awhile and it won't feel like a diet all the time. That's the most important thing, not making it grueling. Don't punish yourself by missing meals, its not worth how it makes you feel.

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.
1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
2nd mini goal: 140!
3rd mini goal:135!
4th mini goal: 130!
I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.
