You can have milk in the dairy rung, rung 2. It really isn't very far away.

My advice is that you get the book (Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, 2002) and read it. Then re-read it. And read it again. And again. Atkins is not a quick fix to lose X lbs, but a way of eating for life; you need to put some effort into informing yourself about it.

This is the Acceptable Foods List from DANDR 2002: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html.
If something is not on the list, you shouldn't eat it on Induction. But Induction is not the only phase of Atkins. You'll find what the other phases are and what each of them involves once you read DANDR.

5 net carbs of milk is about 3.5 fluid ounces (7 tablespoons) which isn't a very large amount, but can be added in the second rung of OWL.

I thin heavy cream (double cream in UK) down with water for a milky consistency for use in place of milk in recipes, and 2-3 tablespoons of cream is allowed on induction.

I don't know whether it would taste like milk for drinking in place of it though.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
