So I am on day 2 and I messed up. I opened the door to go to the supermarket this morning to buy some extra fish and veggies and there on my doormat was a thankyou gift from my neighbours for looking after their cat. Guess what ... 4 little expensive chocolates and a pack of cookies ...
So the chocolates were inhaled in about 10 seconds but luckily I do not like cookies so much so after one taste I threw them out.
And it was not as bad as it might have been, because while I was eating the chocolates I caught myself thinking "Yay! today is ruined so now I have an excuse to buy tons more junk and I can start Atkins again tomorrow!" - but I did NOT do that, when I reached the supermarket I only bought the fish and veggies as planned
It helped that I did not feel good, my heart rate went up and stayed up and now a few hours later I am a little shaky, I think I am in blood sugar crash.
So now I am hungry again and need to eat something, and my question is, do I stick to meat/fish etc and aim for almost zero carbs for the rest of today, or do I follow my original plan for the next meal and eat some vegetables too? I figure I have consumed about 40g net carbs.
