    hi
    how many eggs is it ok to eat in a day im having 2 for breakfast ie poached or in an omlette and today i had 2 as a snack aswell is this ok or is that to many eggs

    No, it's not too many eggs.

    You just need to count the carbs in them towards your daily limit.

      There are no egg limits. But you have to count the egg carbs (0.6 per egg).
      Most of your daily carbs (limits of 20 on induction) have to come from veggies so that will bring a limit to how many you can eat. But eggs are very healthy things.

        cool thanks at the moment im having small handfull of salad at lunch ,and evening meal 2 handfulls of veg should i lower that then if im having 4 eggs a day ?

          No ... you need to have the right amount of vegetables.

              i did read the book , i was just asking whether i should eat less veg cause i was eating more eggs as the person before said the add to my carb intake , also the reason im still on induction is im still loosing so i thought id stay on it till i was 100 kg im now 102kg , do you think i should move off of induction ? im fairly new to this so im open to any suggestions

                You need to count everything you eat towards your carb intake, as J. and Liv wrote. But carbohydrates from eggs should not replace carbohydrates from vegetables. Most (read, over half) of your daily net carbs should come from vegetables.

                In Ch. 16 in DANDR 2002, you can read that the last 5-10 lbs should be lost in Pre-Maintenance. And in between Induction and Pre-Maintenance, you need to fit OWL. OWL is a lengthy experiment. You will be adding back foods, testing your reaction to them, and increasing your carb level until you find your CCLL. Many people have the false belief that this can be done in a few weeks. Nothing further from truth! OWL teaches us the tools we need to maintain our weight and, to quote from DANDR, "is the key to becoming a former fat person". To give you an idea about the time it takes to OWL... I've been OWLing for over a year and I'm in OWL Rung 6. Now, I'm the kind that likes to take it slow and I'm not in any hurry to reach goal just to gain the weight back afterwards, and I know people who did/do OWL faster than I, but it's still not a 12-week experiment.

                So yes, add more veggies (5 net carbs) to your current menu and move to OWL. Re-read Ch. 13 to be convinced this is the best strategy for you, and re-read Ch. 14 and the sticky threads in the OWL forum to make sure you are OWLing correctly.

                    The 2nd phase, Ongoing Weight Loss, is where most of your weight should be lost, not Induction.

                    There's no reason you won't lose on OWL!

                    About how many net carbs are you eating right now?

                      at the moment 20 grams but ive been 102 kg for about a week now so i have decided to only stay on extended induction for 2 more weeks then move on to owl ,,do you think this wil be ok

                        Considering how little weight you have left to lose, I think you should move to OWL now.

                          Steve,

                          Would you be willing to post your food with your net carb counts?

                          I'm wondering how you're getting 20 [net] carbs with the vegetables you mentioned.

                          Being "stuck" on a weight can be a sign that you should move on to OWL ... waiting for two weeks might be counterproductive.

                            Adding more carbs could help you with your exercise too. And considering how much you like to do and want to do - you will probably have a high CCLL (carb limit)

                              at the moment my diet is as follows

                              breakfast 3 or 4 slices of bacon and 2 poached eggs or an omlette with little cheese , both with spoonfull mayonaise

                              mid morning :1 or 2 boiled eggs

                              lunch : chicken with handfull of salad greens

                              tea: chicken or chops or fish with 2 handfulls of veg

                              added to that during day maybe 2 or 3 coffee's with cream

                              is there anything you think i should add or take from that ?

                              also my weight loss goals i still believe ive still maybe a fair bit to loose perhaps my goals need to be higher im now 224lb and said i wanted to be 220lb but realy i think i should be aiming for about 217lb
