I did really well in my first 10 days of induction. I loss a total of 13 pounds. Then I hit a wall. Five days and the numbers on the scale did not move. I was doing everything right, or so I thought. I got frustrated and a little discouraged. But then I remembered what I told myself in the very beginning. "I did not gain an extra 96 pounds overnight and was not going to lose it overnight".
I decided to go back to the old faithful bulletin board. I read any posts that had to do with menus or stalls. I then came to the conclusion that I was probably going overboard with the cream cheese. I realized that I took advantage of a sweet treat with all 4oz. of cream cheese daily. I then made a decision that I would only make a sweet treat once a week.
To monitor the effect of the cream cheese, I weighed myself this morning and have lost 1.5 pounds. I'm so glad that I did not give up like I have with every other diet. I realized that I had to work the diet in order for it to work for me.
To all Newbies out there...DON'T GET DISCOURAGED! If you stall, just seek out information and ask others on the site. Most of us will plateau, and we may need to refocus and seek out the culprits and either eliminate them or consume them sparingly. We may need to work on our excersice habits, water consumption etc.
I firmly believe that the WOL works, if we are patient and open to suggestions.
