    Are you in Pre-Maintenance?

      Hi Georgina!.
Well it got a bit complicated for me and this is how it went. I managed to get up to OWL Rung 4 and i was losing slowly, then i went on hoiliday and gave into temptation for a whole week so i decided to go back on induction, however i tried this for a few weeks then give in again.
I have now been on a clean induction for past 2 weeks and i am determined to stick to it. I do realise i should not really be on Induction as i am 2lbs from my goal weight of 9 stone(original goal was 9st 7lbs).
My problem is i want to get down to 8st 7lbs and i just worry in case i feel i want to continue losing, may turn into a problem!
I really don't know what to do.
      I started of at 10st 10lbs.

      Thanks
      Danielle

Considering how little weight you had to lose, you should not have restarted with Induction, but with OWL. I would have moved quickly to OWL Rung 4 and picked up from where I had left off.

What might turn into a problem?

There are thee weight loss phases: Induction, OWL and Pre-Maintenance. The last 5-10 lbs should be lost, slowly, in Pre-Maintenance.

          Re: Losing too much weight!

Basically my goal was 9st 7lbs,now i 9st 2lbs and i want to go down to 8st 7lbs which i know is under weight for my height of 5ft 6". I thought i would be happy when i got the weight off but i keep wanting to lose.
I know this must sound terrible to the people who are struggling to lose.
If i keep trying to lose and lose then this could turn into a problem for me. Guess i need to try and accept myself at a certain weight.

          Thanks again

What's your BMI? Have it checked properly and see what it is. If it is at the lower end of the healthy range then you will know you have reached the time to stop.

I have also reached my original goal weight, I have been in the pre-maintanance phase for a few weeks, I am still losing as well. Its hard to keep adding the carbs isn't it? Actually I should try to get my BMI into the healthy range anyhow and watching those scales move becomes addicting doesn't it?

Started this diet on Sun 4/26/09

50 lbs gone on Sun 9/27/09

Well its been over a year now and I am currently on maintenance and still trying to adjust to the "new" ME. No major struggles to report, just livin' day to day.

                Re: Losing too much weight!

when i was 330 then got too 230 with atkins and walking lots i looked ALOT better but i still looked like crap and also i felt better but not great

then i started going to the gym at 230 and i must have lost another 50 pounds of fat and gained 50 pounds of muscle

now i look great and feel great

by adding full body muscle work outs aka the gym and not just walking lots i have improved alot

even if you cant go to a gym by just working out the muscles you normally dont work out it can help alot

                  Re: Losing too much weight!

So agree with you Ziggy. When I am not doing weight training and pilates my back kills me and my hips hurt. Of course I am also sore when I am training, but it isn't an infirm, unhealthy sore. It is the "I put in a good day at the gym" sore. I would much rather feel that than feel feeble and out of shape!
