Well, I'm beginning another 2 weeks of Induction. First 2 weeks..no weight loss. Clothes are only a little looser. I am ramping up my exercise..cutting out 90% of caffiene. I'm cutting out 1/2 salad veggies...????? I need to find an Atkins appropriate nutritional supplement (multi-vita/muti-min supp.) that mobilizes fat burning. Has anyone out there cut out their estrogen to help with weight loss and has it helped? I only take 1 mg and It's all natural...Help Help Help! V

    Maybe it's that juice?

You might want to post a complete menu, including amounts and net carbs for everything.

I stopped the juice. It was only 1T a day which had no added sugar and the most minimal of carb content..once a day . I don't think that could be it.
      Menu today:
Coffee (mostly decaf) w/ 1/2 packet of stevia (stevia pack says " 0 carbs)
      1 teaspoon heavy cream .................................................. ..>1 carb
Br. 2 eggs w/three slices of canadian bacon...fried...2 carbs
4 slices of cuc. sprinkled w lemon juice......................................2 carbs

Lun. Sauteed chicken with ginger root/garlic/mushrooms. Slices of green bell
      pepper............................................ ....................................3 carbs
      Diet Rite cola

Sn. 2 T cream cheese... Seltzer water w/teaspoon of lemon juice.........2 carb

Din. Filet mignon w/swiss cheese and 1 T pesto. 1 1/2 cups of green salad w my
homemade bleu cheese dressing. Seltzer water.
Coffee (same as above)............................................ ..>1 carb

I haven't even lost one pound. It's quite discouraging. I perservere.

There is not much wrong with that menu. Just a few thoughts - I do see quite a bit of dairy I think , cream, chhese, sweiss cheese and blue cheese dressing. Are you over your cheese limit? I suggest adding your fat by oils or butters instead of a lot of cream and cheeses.

there are things you have written before that indicate that you may have been very high on sweeteners. It looks like you used to use 1 1/2 pg of splenda in your coffee, and you sweetened your water with juice and had a sweetened diet drink. It may be that you are sensitive to sweeteners. Something to think about.

If you are losing inches, your cells may hold on to water and you will see a whoosh if you keep it going?

Are you tall? Maybe close to your BMI - it can be harder to lose if that is the case.
Were you doing calorie restricted diet before Atkins. Sometimes that may cause the body to hang on to weight but it will move once the body is happy with you feeding it

I can understand that you are a bit frustrated but you are eating healthy so hang in there. That whoosh my come. Don't cut down on veggies - you need nutrients

Make sure you drink plenty of clean water every day.

Those were just some of my thoughts. I crossing my fingers for a loss soon.

i agree with what liv said

also your so close to your goal weight already and the fact that you actually can notice your clothes geting alittle looser is a good sign you have most likely lost fat but your weight is the same because your holding onto water atm and have gained muscle weight

remember fat loss gets slower and slower the closer you get to your goal weight

after i had lost 100 pounds of fat with walking lots going from 330 too 230 basically then my fat loss completely stalled but i found out it was cause 230 is my maintence weight i started going to the gym and lost another 50 pounds of fat and gained 50 pounds of muscle at the same rate so now i total 150 pounds of fat loss and look amazingly better even though i am still 230 although il admit im prob supos to be 220 but i still got 10 or so pounds worth of excess skin

First of all, your carb counts are not correct. For example, 1 tsp of heavy cream certainly does not have 1 net carb. Then, 4 slices of cucumber have 0.4 net carbs. I understand you add lemon on them, but you'd need to add the juice from almost half a lemon to get 2 net carbs. Unless you drink the juice, I don't see how you can have that much lemon juice with 4 slices of cucumber. Two large eggs have 1.2 net carbs. Three slices of bacon should not have 0.7 net carbs.

For veggie net carbs, you have 0.4 from cucumber, 3 from lunch (I don't know if the count is correct) and about 0.8 from the "green salad" (what is in that salad exactly? what's the carb count?). That's a total of 4.2 net carbs from vegetables. You need to increase this number, not decrease it. In my opinion, you are just cheating yourself of nutrition.

What's in the pesto? Did you read the ingredients?

How many calories are you eating?

            What about water?

You don't write amounts for cheese, meat...

Yep, you need to come clean with amounts. If you want to lose your cheese probably has to come down and your veggies look like they really need a boost up just like the others have said. If you are losing inches, the pounds will come but since you are so close to goal, you are going to drop by 1/2 pounds and it will come off more slowly.

                Re: Estrogen/Supplements

Yeah, some of my carb counts were off, but if you'll notice, the carb amount I listed for 1 teasp. heavy cream, for example, says: >1 carb (less than 1 carb). The nutr. label says: 1 T= .5 carb. My amount was .2 or so.
Also, the Carb Counter in DANDR says that 1/2 cup of small cucumber (approx. 4 slices) = 1.8 digestible carbs and I just added .2 for the added approx. 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. That= 2 carbs.
Pesto has olive oil, garlic, basil, pine nuts, micro amts. of romano cheese, micro amts, vinegar. 1/4 cup= 2.8 digestible carbs, so my portion was less than 1/8 cup or >1.4 dig. carbs. I was off by 0.4.
I listed eggs @ 1 carb each because the nutr. label specifies it. DANDR says .8.
I did forget to list canadian bacon= 1 carb and I forgot to list swiss cheese (2T) and my bleu cheese dress. (2T) that = 3.1 (DANDR).
DANDR specifies that more liberal fat is good in induction, hence my cheese intake (I stay with lower carb cheeses). But I guess I need to increase the good 'ole veggie carbs.
Is there a concensus as to what nutritional supplements are the best? Does Atkins still produce their supplements?
Does anyone out there take estrogen, does any one take 1 mg estrogen?
Thanks you guys...for responding and giving me a heads-up. I need all the help I can get.

I didn't notice the "<". In any case, you should count the carbs as well as you can. Otherwise you might be either overestimating or underestimating what you are eating, none of which is good.

Also, the Carb Counter in DANDR says that 1/2 cup of small cucumber (approx. 4 slices) = 1.8 digestible carbs
The carbs are different in the USDA database. I would either weigh them or use a measuring cup.

Pesto has olive oil, garlic, basil, pine nuts, micro amts. of romano cheese, micro amts, vinegar.
This is why I asked about the ingredients. Pine nuts are nuts. Not allowed on Induction.

DANDR specifies that more liberal fat is good in induction, hence my cheese intake (I stay with lower carb cheeses).
There is nothing wrong with eating cheese, as long as you are not eating more than 3-4 oz. More than that is not okay on Induction. There are other ways to add fat.
