  • Where do we do our weigh ins?

    Does it matter? I wasn't sure whether to do it here or to do it on the Celebration board, although I was thinking of waiting to visit the Celebration board until I'd hit a goal. Thanks!

    I'm not sure what your question is. Are you wondering where to shout "Woo hoo, I lost _____ lbs!!!" or is this for some challenge? The shouting can be done in any forum you like. It doesn't matter.

      In 11 days I lost 7 pounds. I'll be weighing each Friday-every 7 days from here on out. I just wondered if everyone posted their weigh ins each week.

        Congratulations!

        No, as far as I know, there is no place where people are posting their weekly weigh ins. You could always start one though.

            Congratulations on your loss so far

            You are right, the Celebration forum is more suited to reaching a goal than a week by week loss report

            There hasn't been a 'How did you do last week' kind of thread lately, maybe you can start one here in the Main forum and see if others want to join you?

              WOW, congratulations on your weightloss so far...that is awesome...nicely done! You should be feeling very proud of what you've accomplished so far!

              You could always start a personal jounal in the "Journal Chat" section. I don't have a journal personally...one of my posts in the Before and After picture section has sort of become my journal LOL!!!! But the Journal section is a great place to post how things are going iin your journey to great health and post your weekly weigh ins and such.

              Keep doing everything you're doing, it's working!

              I look forward to hearing more updates on how things are going for you....it's great to meet you!

              Heaviest weight - 403 lbs. (2007)
              April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
              Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
              1st major goal met -----100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.
              2nd major goal met - 151 lbs. lost as of Jan 13, 2009 - Hit 249 lbs. on this day.
              3rd major goal met - Wed, May 13-09 - Reached losing 200 lbs. in just over a year and a couple of months.
              4th major goal met – Reached “Onederland” June 6-09 – 198 lbs.
              5th major goal met - My 1 yr. Atkins anniversary - Weighing 184 lbs. this day
              Current weight – 174 lbs.
              Goal weight - 150 – 160

              My personal journey - Before and during - From 400 lbs. to 247 lbs. Not done yet!!!

                      I weigh in on Fridays-so a weekly weigh in on Fridays would work well for me. Sarina, thank-you for the warm welcome here. I truly appreciate it. I'll do a post on Friday unless one of you start one (which is fine with me) I'll jump in any place.

                        I'll change my weigh in day to Friday (it is usually Saturday but Friday is just as perfect) and join the thread. Good idea.

                          Another thought is to post a Journal thread. Folks tend to stop in and visit their buddies' threads so you could post your weekly progress there and keep kind of a diary for yourself. From your other posts I can see you definitely have some hold over ideas from other diets you have been on. Atkins does a lot of things differently. I know it is a lot to get used to.
