  • is whey protein ok

I see whey protein concentrate is the first ingredient... and then whey protein isolate. Whey protein isolate is fine on Induction. A good quality whey protein concentrate is fine on Induction... but some can be pretty "carby", so you need to be careful.

If you choose to use this stuff, don't forget to count it towards your sweeteners.

And no, I don't think it's a good idea to use it daily. It's better, in my opinion, to eat real food.

Keep in mind that most of your net carbs should be coming from vegetables.

        You're welcome!

Also, there is quite a bit of protein in this stuff. So make sure your diet remains high fat.

Also, try to keep your diet all natural. Green beans and nuts are good source of protein.

Ive been using whey protein too over induction and on OWL 1. Im in good ketosis and losing weight. Some meals I just cant stomach any more fish or chicken and this is my bail out option or when Im in a hurry.
I read some other posts where people have been adding vegies and cream (when youre on that level) to make a vegie protein smoothie, unflavoured whey for that.

              >>Green beans and nuts are good source of protein.>>

Nuts aren't allowed on Induction though.

100 grams of green beans (fresh) is 1.8 grams of protein.

1 large egg is 6.3 grams of protein.

1 ounce of macadamias is 2.2 grams of protein.

1 ounce of walnuts is 4.3 grams of protein.

I think that maybe green beans aren't a good source of protein?

You can add a little heavy (double) cream (2 TBS?) while on Induction. For veggie shakes, I've found zucchini (courgette) or yellow summer squash to work well. Shred it first before and pat dry with a paper towel before blending. Have to say that I'm not that fond of creamy veggie shakes though.
