You didn't post a link to your Public Fitday.

To make your Fitday public, log in, go to the Profile tab, click on the blue Public Settings Page at the bottom, click on the "Make My Journal Public" button. Then you'll get a link at the top:

      Re: fitday question

That seems rather high. Did you subtract your fiber from your total carb count?

Your total carbs are indeed 49.6... but on Atkins we count NET carbs, not total carbs. Your net carbs are 27.

And there is no reason to be "omg" about 50 carbs... even if they were net. With your level of exercise, you probably have a high CCLL.

How did you cook the spinach? And the broccoli? And the fish? Probably not the same way as they were cooked for those FitDay entries.

Did you measure your veggies raw or cooked? It's always better to measure/weigh them raw... especially when it comes to things like spinach.

Also... eating a whole bag of pork rinds is not a good food choice, imo. It's processed stuff... full of sodium... and not a complete source of protein.

But overall your menu looks good. Are you losing weight eating this way? Are you feeling fine? No blood sugar symptoms?

            Re: fitday question

As has been noted, entering your foods "raw" as much as possible is best.

            Especially with eggs!

And 1 ounce of cod???? Since cod is a fish, how did it end up with 2.3 carbs? See how Fitday adds things?

                    Re: fitday question

In the old version of the online fitday you used to be able to see what additions fitday was counting when you chose a cooked version of any foods, so you could see if they were assuming you added milk or margarine or flour to a dish.

I looked at my pc fitday which still does this, and for 2 cups of cooked broccoli with nothing added except a bit of salt it listed cals 102, fat 1gr, total carbs 18gr/fiber 11gr = 7 net carbs, protein 11 gr. BTW that was for a weight of 365 grams of broccoli.

As others have said, best to enter the raw amount of veggies before cooking for most foods and add any fats or other ingredients as separate items to get a more correct count.

There is an entry for most cooked veggies that states: boiled, drained, no fat added which is the one I usually choose if I forgot to work out the uncooked quantity
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Yes ... too bad they took that away.

Net carbs are total carbs minus dietary fiber. Both are listed in FitDay if you look at the summary (see picture below) that appears under your list of foods.

If you enter custom foods in FitDay, keep in mind that UK labels list net carbs, not total carbs. So if a product has, let's say, 3 g carbohydrate and 1 g dietary fiber on a European label, then it has 4 g total carbohydrate, 3 net carbs and 1 g dietary fiber.

By the way, do you have a copy of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution (2002)? Net carbs are explained there...
