  • Weight loss and wrinkles

I lost 25 pounds this year, and still have 20 to go to reach my goal. I also turned 31 this year. I have been noticing LOTS of wrinkles on my face, near my eyes and around my nose and wonder if it's just my new glorious age, or if it has to do with my weight loss. My boyfriend says I'm paranoid, but really - I have a lot of crinkles. When I squint or laugh, the wrinkles don't fade back into my skin - they stay there!!

My face has slimmed down a bit, it's less round. Anyone else experience this?

Well actually these are probably little wrinkles that you are noticing now, because as you lose weight, your skin is losing all that puffiness from the weight loss, and losing the water your body held before when you ate a lot of processed foods that were full of extra sodium. Think of it as a balloon that was blown up to it's fullest, and is slowly deflating. As it starts to shrink, it develops little lines. (This is more noticeable in balloons containing air for a long time.)

I have been told for years that my skin looked so good, that I hardly had any wrinkles for my age. And they were right. My face looked great for my age. But as I am losing, now I am seeing more and more wrinkles all of a sudden in just the past few months.

I cringed when I first noticed the vertical "wrinkles" on my chin as the fat began to disappear. It freaked me out and was NOT the skin of a 34 yr old. BEAUTIFUL solution!!! Sounds gross, I know BUT this works. Go out and buy some Preparation H cream, not the gel. Get the cream. It tightens up the skin and works wonderfully. It's the best quickest solution I've found. You're not paranoid. As women, we KNOW every line. Try this out and let me know how it works for you!

I've noticed the same thing. Its great motivation to get your water down, as sometimes I wonder if it isn't a little dehydration, but nah probably not at my age of 44. I ordered this little gizmo off of e-bay yesterday, its supposed to be a microcurrent and red LED light gadget all in one, I'll let you all know if it does anything.

                  Re: Weight loss and wrinkles

The wrinkles were probably already there when you were heavier, probably just "plumped" out (for lack of a better phrase). I've got them too, I do my best to keep my face moisturized as I have dry skin. Be sure to take good oil supplements with your regular vitamin. And of course, lots of water is good. So is sunblock
