Taking vitamins-a.m. or p.m.?

  • Taking vitamins-a.m. or p.m.?

    Is there a better time to take multivitamins? I've heard several things. One is that it's better to take them before bedtime because that's when your body rejuvenates and can best use them. Another is to take it in the morning because so they can be absorbed throughout the day.

    Any thoughts?

    A compounding pharmacist told me that supplements are best taken 12 hours after awakening. (with dinner) Something to do with our circadian rhythm and our metabolism being able to utilize and get the most out of the supplements at that time.

      Thanks Msanjelpie. That's very interesting, I never would have thought of mid-day for my vitamins. If the best time is around dinner time, that works for me!
