  • Meal Timings

Just prior to getting on Aitkins again this time, I was using a style of eating that was six equal meals per day. It was good for me, I didnt have a problem with the amount of work people thought it was, I generally just made three meals, split them in two and ate every three hours.

Since being on Induction Ive only felt like eating three meals a day anyway (amazing for me!!).

Is there anything in the Aitkins approach about meal timing... is six smaller meals ok or should we be sticking to three?

    Thanks

    Re: Meal Timings

It is up to preference. Dr. Atkins says eat when you are hungry but do not go over 6 waking hours without eating a meal. I prefer eating more frequent, smaller meals myself. It is really up to you.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

The important thing is to eat when you feel hungry and to satisfy that hunger, no more no less.
You should not go more than six waking hours without eating so, if you're not hungry after six hours, just have a small legal snack to rev your metabolism. A bit of cheese, some olives, a piece of meat...
