Tish, did you have a high fat & protein snack available? Did you drink a glass of water to see if that helps? Did you eat enough food (calories, carbs, etc.)?
This is from Atkins Diabetes Revolution:
When carbohydrates beckon, fight back with some simple strategies:
Admit that you're tempted and then consciously remind yourself of how much better you feel when you limit the carbs in your diet. Say it out loud if that helps.
Eat a snack containing protein and fat. Your cravings could be coming from low blood sugar; the snack will stabilize it.
Consider eating frequent, smaller meals including protein, fat, and fiber on a regular schedule. Don't ever let yourself get too hungry.
Substitute a low-carb food for the food you crave. If you must have chocolate, try a low-carb bar or chocolate shake.
(Chapter 17)
Dr. Atkins would often encounter patients who told him they were willing to try his approach, but just couldn't live without chocolate, or ice cream, or some other sugary treat. He would remind them that there are plenty of good low-carb versions of these favorites, but would also ask them to give up these foods, at least during the first few weeks. When the patients returned, they almost always told him how they no longer missed sweet foods.
(Chapter 1
"Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."
Shake it off and keep going.....I'm glad that you are not letting this slip turn into a landslide....that is VERY important. I agree with everything Georgiana has shared with you this far. I would just add that if in the future you want something "dessert" like...check out the following section and choose something legal that you would enjoy....there are many recipes to choose from.
In the meantime, plan out your meals for tomorrow as suggested...step up your water (to flush your system out) and be sure to fit some form of exercise into your day...go out for a walk, dance....just get your body moving.
If you find that your cravings for sweet things continue even with higher fat snacks and meal choices, perhaps take a look into investing in some Chromium Picolinate....I have used it from time to time when I needed to and it does help.
Well done on getting back into the groove, I know you can do this.
Come here lots and talk especially during the times you're sensing a slip coming on.
All the best to you,
Sarina

Tish,
Good for not giving up and continuing on! I know sometimes it can be tough. I have found that if I do slip up and have something it usually makes things worse-my cravings start to come back. I really do like the way I feel eating this way and find that I don't have cravings for sugary foods if I'm keeping my carbs down.
You can do it!
Sarina, your stats are amazing!!! You are definitely an inspiration. I loved your pictures.
Next time jump up and down first. If that does not work. You can eat everything you want naked in front a full length mirror.
Good decision to hang in there. Let us know how today goes.
