    Hello out there to everyone,

    It's been awhile since I've posted any news on my progress. October turned out to be a pretty trying month for me. I lost my Grandfather recently and that sent my family into a bit of a tailspin, but we are slowly finding a way to move forward. My journey on Atkins has been absolutely amazing. I have lost 95 lbs so far! (I weighed in at 285 this morning) It's hard to believe I have come this far. I never would have thought I could really lose weight.

    I lost my way for a week or so when my Grandpa died, and after a few days of eating bad things, I ended up catching a flu that had been going around. The whole time I was eating on Atkins, I did not catch one cold, not one flu bug, nothing. I don't think it's a coincidence that as soon as I had some crap food, I got sick. After my 4 day bender, I got right back on the atkins horse, and I immediately started to feel better. Go figure.

    Anyway, I just wanted to share my progress, and to tell anyone who is facing adversity right now, whether it's diet related or life related, hang in there. brighter days are on the horizon.

    Rest in peace Grandpa. Thank you for everything.

      I'm sorry for your loss of you Grandfather. I'm sure he would be proud to see you doing so well, and taking a grip on your health.

        So sorry to hear of your family's loss

        Thank you for posting your progress - you have done amazingly well to pull yourself back from the brink of succumbing to your old eating habits
        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

        F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
