  • Third Time Around

OK, I tried Atkins before and so far it seems to be the only diet that works for me. I drop about 20lbs and feel I need to celebrate and then can't seem to get back on again. So back comes the weight.

I just finished week one of induction and lost only two lbs. I am doing a couple of miles every other day on the treadmill as well. I hope my body has not figured out what I'm up to and decided to fight me this time around?

Any of you try Atkins before and then find it a bit harder to loose next time around?

    Re: Third Time Around

I don't find it harder to lose subsequent times around (some do) but I definitely find it harder to "restart" each time. My initial "start" in March was nothing compared to restarting each time I went off plan. Now that I'm back on plan, I keep reminding myself that there may come a day where I won't be able to restart, and all my hard/good work will go out the window.

With regard to the treadmill work, keep in mind that 80% of your success with losing weight is food related, and the remaining 20% is some combination of genes, exercise and other factors.
