Re: Excersize question!
Not that I know of.
In Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (we go by the 2002 edition here) Dr Atkins said in Chapter 22and
Exercise: It's Non-NegotiableCalling all couch potatoes: If you're not getting regular exercise, you aren't following the Atkins Nutritional Approach. It's that simple. You must make a commitment to physical activity as well as change the way you eat-and take nutritional supplements. Doing one without the other is like riding a bike with flat tires. It's a lot more difficult.
How Much Exercise Do You Need?
It may not be as much as you think. The Surgeon General's 1996 report on physical activity and health states: "Physical activity need not be strenuous to achieve health benefits." The report recommends that people of all ages get a minimum of thirty minutes of physical activity of moderate intensity (such as brisk walking) on most, if not all, days of the week. The report also says that, for most people, it's even better to exercise harder and longer.
I recommend that your daily minimum of thirty minutes of physical activity take place all at once because it will get your fat-burning engine into a sustained mode. However, for those of you who absolutely cannot or will not do it all at once, the following provides some benefits, although results will take longer to achieve: Try three ten-minute sessions (or two fifteen-minute sessions) of moderately intense activity. For example, do ten minutes of sit-ups, leg lifts, stretching and arm exercises in the morning; take a brisk ten-minute walk at lunchtime; rake some leaves and do a bit of vigorous house or yard work for ten minutes before dinner and ... you've done it!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Nope. Just find something you like and stick to it. It's best to combine cardio and resistance exercises.Originally posted by Bengals1 View PostIs there a special workout regimen for the atkins diet?"Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: Excersize question!
All I know is it's considered non-negotiable... we MUST exercise in order for this WOL to work toward successful weight loss and improved health. I'm still working on it... also training myself to do things like park far from store entrances and walking, taking the stairs when possible, just generally pushing myself more as my health improves.
