Nothin' like a little fire under my rear to get me going again. I haven't been entirely off plan but have been sloppy. I recently was remotivated by something my mother-in-law said.
I started Atkins back when my doc told me I was insulin resistant. She recommended a low glycemic diet, which I followed for awhile and moved on to Atkins.
Anyway, I have shared with my family members that I watch things like processed foods and sugars (sugar). This past weekend, my sister-in-law was visiting my in-law family and they made turkey and noodles over mash potatoes (it's some family thing). My sister-in-law made a comment about how carb loaded the meal was. So my mother-in-law's reaction was to sarcastically say, "OKAY Lindsay!" (Which is my name.) I don't get what her thing is about it - my MIL used to follow Atkins herself and lost weight with it.
My MIL called right away that night apologize and I acted not offended...but I was a little bit. Anyway, it's got me pretty damn motivated to get things moving and suprise them later this month when I visit them for Christmas.
