If I go over 15 carbs a day I will not lose any weight. Is anyone here with the similar problem? Why is this happening?

Re: over 15 carbs/day
How long has it been since you have lost weight?
Have you added any new foods since then? Or has there been a change in your regime/work patterns recently?
Maybe if you list some day's menus we can spot some known 'staller' in case it is the kind of food you are eating that is making problems for you.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: over 15 carbs/day
Be sure the majority of the carbs you eat come from vegetables. Ironically, some of us don't lose nearly as much on induction as we do on OWL because of the increase in vegetable based carbs. I am one who will stall like nobodies business if I eat all meat and cheese in a day. Give me veggies and whoosh.
For some of us, eating "low-carb" prepared food substitutes or sweets laced with sugar alcohols will cause a stall. I personally have found that even sugar-free gum will stall me faster than I can go through a box of doughnuts. Yet I can eat a nice slice of prepared at home pumpkin cheesecake with liquid Splenda and be just fine. Go figure.
Water, water, water... if I don't drink at least 64oz of water a day I'll actually feel sick, get bloodshot eyes in the morning, just general malaise.
Are you exercising? See I'm not exercising (but I have really strong fingers from typing at the computer ROFL) and I know I'd lose faster if I did. It's one of my goals. I do have a gym membership and exercise equipment (ball, dumbbells) here at home. I'm three months into this WOL and staying the course, so surely I'll make my goal of adding exercise to my lifestyle.
There are other things I would look at, sodium and nitrates for one. I find that too much bacon, sausage and other items high in nitrates aren't good for me. Also, if I go overboard on cheese it's not good. Oh and remember to count the carbs in cheese and processed meats. I know the package says zero... they LIE.
Hope this helps. Glad to see you on the boards.

Re: over 15 carbs/day
You may be having a low CCLL. It can happen. But I agree that looking at what kind of carbs they are would be a good thing. Most of us can eat a lot of veggie carb but if we tried to eat the same number in cheese we would be doomed.
I would look to see how clean the menu is - a lot of people eat or drink hidden carbs and do not even realize it.

I do not drink anything except plain unflavored water. I do not eat any lunch meat, because those will stop my weight loss. I prepare all my food, so I know there contain only the things I should be eating. Can not have any cheese or walnutsOriginally posted by liv View PostYou may be having a low CCLL. It can happen. I probably have low CCLL, is there anything I can do about?

I lost like 8 pounds. This is my second time doing Atkins. I eat much more vegges now, but I have to be careful not to go 15 grams of carbs, otherwise no wight lossOriginally posted by msanjelpie View PostHow often are you expecting to lose a pound? Once a day, once a week, once a month? Your body may have different ideas as to how often it wants to lose.
How much weight did you lose during your 2 week induction?
How much exercise are you doing?

I do exercise, I go to gym 3 times a week and walk my dog all the time. Exercise do not make me lose any weight. But I have more energy and fill better.Originally posted by Suzanne_H View PostBe sure the majority of the carbs you eat come from vegetables. I only have splenda maybe once a month when I have decaf coffee.
I can't have any cheese
I stop losing weight. I can't go behind induction
Eating cheese and walnuts will be good for maintenance, but I need to lose a lot of weight.

Re: over 15 carbs/day
What are you planning to eat today? Please include the specific items that you will eat (including portion size; example: 1/2 cup cauliflower cooked with 1T butter, 3oz steamed spinach, 200g chicken breast roasted with 1t olive oil) and the amount of water that you intend to drink. We'd be able to help you better if we could have details.

I suggest that you post a few days' menus for review, so that you can be sure.Originally posted by ania View PostI know but I tried to add some new foods to my diet and go to OWL. First cheese- no, no than nuts no no

Re: over 15 carbs/day
So how do you know it is a no no. OWL can be a bit of a patience games.
First comes more veggies though - not cheese.
Is that the menu for the whole day? Do you use fitday

Re: over 15 carbs/day
What are the *specific* ingredients of the soup? Example: 1 quart water, 1 whole chicken carcass, 1 celery stalk, 2 medium carrots (not eaten), 1 large egg, 1 medium onion.Originally posted by ania View Post2 hard boiled eggs and 1 Tb mayo.

Cucumber salad( 1 cucumber and vinegar)

How much vinegar? What size is the cucumber?
How many ounces are in 2 slices of pork roast? (If you ate 1/4 of a 2-pound roast, state it that way) How was the roast prepared - was it marinated in anything, rubbed with butter and seasonings, other?
Learn to be *very* specific about ingredients and proportions - it will help you to track your net carbs in an honest and complete fashion and really come in handy when you can move to OWL.
