  • Bathroom issue?

Hi everyone, here is my question I am soooo constipated, I have been eating 3 cups of greens a day 2 cups kale 1 cup of spinach. I am drinking between 80 and 90 oz water a day, I am taking pyshllum husks 5 capsules a day. Any other suggestions ? I am on day 8 of induction Thanks Cindy

exercise and also i think your body will get stronger in time as in your intestine muscles will grow stronger and not get constipated as much though it will take along time

Probably psyllium husks don't work for you. Sometimes they don't... I'd try flax if I were you. Make a MiM (muffin in a minute), pancakes or flax crackers.

How many net carbs from vegetables are you consuming? How many grams of fiber?

How come you're only consuming two kinds of vegetables? Your induction menu includes so many different types! Enjoy exploring new veggies !!

          Re: Bathroom issue?

So how long has it been? Our bathroom habits may change when we turn to a new way of eating so the fact that you are not eliminating as often as you used to is not an issue in itself.
Drink plenty of water - plenty. More variety in your veggies, Some exercise

              Re: Bathroom issue?

OK... I have to chime in on this one. I was dealing with this last month, and we all have a different cause for things changing. I was taking flax, psyllium, oodles of water (120+ oz), lots of veggies.

But my problem wasn't the typical that you think of (TMI- hard, dry, impacted), but my intestines simply were not moving things through. So.....

I posted, and someone mentioned magnesium, and guess what? For some reason the magnesium in my tablets didn't help, but I switched over to a liquid calcium/magnesium supplement, and that did the trick. Regular as ever now.

Good luck in finding your solution.

I think everyone needs to find out what works best for their body. If what you're trying now isn't working...I would say it's time to try something else.

I've been eating low carb flax bread, and boy does that stuff work. Not sure if that particular bread is allowed during induction. If not, you could make revolution rolls, oopsie rolls or mock danishes and add ground flax.
