  • Weight lifting Day 3, feel weak.

    Well, I was lifting weights today, and man! I felt really weak, I could only pump out about 75% of my normal. (is this normal?)

    then I hopped on the bike for 50mins, I was able to keep my heart rate at 165BPM for 40~45min, I was surprised about this, normaly I could only get about 20 min before I felt tired/way out of breath..

    Since you're only on day 3, yes... it's normal. Your body will adjust.

      Had the same problem after lifting the second day I was on induction. The problem is your body is still in a state of flux- normally your body uses glycogen(stored sugar) in your muscle as its reserve fuel during lifting. During the first few days of induction, your body depletes its supply of glycogen. Once it adjusts to ketosis you will go gradually go back to your previous lifts.

      The important thing is to still use good form using whatever weight you are using and taking every set to failure regardless of what weight it is.

        You should be fine in another day or two. Day three is the worst for many folks.

          just keep it up , i lift weights too but in the first 2 weeks of induction everything seemed a little harder but after that i felt great during them 2 weeks i just upped my cardio and was doing 4 days mainly cardio and just 1 day weights but then started doing few more weights sessions when the weekness passed ,and believe me it will pass and your feel great and i stayed on extended induction too for about 2 months

            Thanks everyone, I am cutting lifting weight back to 3 days a week from 5, I am stepping up cardio to 1hr.
