  • Didn't Cheat!!!!

    Was a bit discouraged today. It is my 6th day on Induction and the scale has NOT moved. I am trying to convince myself it is because it is my time of the month. I watch my 2 year old nephew during the day and have cookies for him and it took all I had not to eat ALL of them. Instead I thought about how to distract myself and went to the grocery store to pick up a few items. I got home and made myself a BLT wrap. OMG...it was soooo good...now I am having a black cherry cream soda for dessert and think I will make it through this rough patch.

    Thanks for letting me vent.

    LC wraps (unless it was lettuce) are not allowed on Induction.

    However ... what's eaten is eaten.

    Not everyone loses in the first 6 days. You're not in a race!

      When I think I'm hungry I drink a large glass of water - many times when we "think" we're hungry our bodies are screaming for water because we're dehydrated. Try it next time. That being said, part of today may be the fact you this is your TOM....it could be you know you shouldn't eat the cookies and they were there....good for you not eating them!

      Make sure you are using lettuce for those wraps! Good luck getting through the next rough patch.....BTW, drinking flavored soda (hopefully it was diet and sweetened with Splenda, not aspartame) is feeding your sweet tooth, if you get it behind you the journey will be much easier for you.

        How about posting a daily menu? Maybe you aren't doing as clean an induction as you think. If that is the case it might explain why the scale has not moved. There is more to induction than keeping your carbs below 20. I don't know if thaqt is tha case here, but a look at your daily food choices would help us help you.

          make sure your black cherry cream soda is sweetended with splenda and not aspartame aspartame is a known weight loss staller along with being very unhealthy to eat

            Thanks so much for the feedback. The "wrap" is just lettuce. Green leaf lettuce stuffed with 3 pieces of bacon, sliced tomato, green onion and mayo...with a touch of salt/pepper and wrap it up. Legal right?
            My cream soda was a Diet Rite Black Cherry (splenda) with a splash of heavy cream. And I have been drinking enough water to drown a school of fish. I used to drink almost a 12 pack of diet pepsi every day but kicked that bad habit last month before I started Induction. I will post a menu in the correct section. thanks again

              Way to be strong - it can be hard when the scale is not moving. But you did it.

                make sure the splash of heavy cream isnt too much i remember heavy cream used to stall me because when i had some i was unable to have just the tiny allowed amount so i had to cut it out altogether xD

                  I know how you feel about the scale not budging. I have been stalled in the 180's bracket for a few months. Keep going, the scale will move. Different people lose weight at different rates. My DH is losing a lot faster than I am.

                  For me, I've found that keeping track of the types of foods I'm eating helps me move forward. If you think a certain food might be stalling you, you could eliminate it for a week and see how it goes.

                  And if it's the time of month...don't even step on the scale LOL. There's really no point because it won't be accurate.
