Hi ladies, I had a medical procedure done this morning, they made me drink a juicee container of pacific sun. How will this affect my induction I am on day 10 lost 5 pounds so far? cindy
Did you need to have the sugar or just liquid? If just liquid, they could have given you water.
However, what's done is done.
Your body took a "sugar hit", that's for sure. Just continue on with what you were doing, and next time, know that you can say, "No" ... or that you would prefer a sugar free drink.
Hope things went will with the procedure.

I wouldn't worry about it. You are still on Day 10 of the rest of your life!!!! (I'm pretty sure most of us have eaten/drank something we wish we hadn't) The important thing is to CONTINUE doing great!! Hope all is well with your procedure!
Oops, guess you are on Day 11 now. Each of us reacts differently, so no one is really able to tell you the consequences of something like that. And in the long run, it's just a drop in the bucket.

ITA. I'm assuming it was one of those kindergartner school lunch size cartons. If you didn't eat crappy the rest of the day, I see no cause for real concern.
Thanks Ladies, I will just stay on induction a week longer, thanks for your support I guess its true when you look at the long term, it is nothing and when you think of problems in life it really is nothing lol.... I am doing great with my food intake well actually since the surgery not taking enough food or water in but that should improve in the next couple of days and then I should back on track. Thanks again everyone cindy
IMO there are times to push an issue and postsurgery is not one of them. Every procedure I have had has told me what they would do after, so it was something I could address beforehand. I think a better suggestion would be to ask them if a no-sugar option is available at the time you noticed it but simply take it if they said no or they preferred you to drink the juice. The fact that you drank it says to me that you were not in a state where questioning it was appropriate.
On the extreme I just had an image of a glucose tolerance test and someone going back and forth as to why they will not drink the juice.
Thanks for your reply, yeah I questioned it lol... they insisted on it.... but I will just stay on my induction longer, I weigh in today so we will see where am at Cindy
