  • Did I do something wrong? (for girls only) sorry guys!

    I usually weight myself in about twice a week, well I got on and it said I gain 2 lbs! and few inches to my waist..I started my period yesterday could that be it? I am drinking more and more water, has not cheat I could eat snacks in between meals I guess....but that was upsetting to see!
    highest 230 ---- started atkins------current 175 lbs
    July 2009 ---------12/20/2009 ---------03/18/2010

    I started atkins in late november but every other week just sort of fell off the wagon and was not working out..late december I started to really follow it and added the gym from november to december I only lost like 7 lbs not following it right..from december to march 18 I lost 50 lbs give or take depending what mood my scale is on lol.

      Absolutely could be your period. Some women gain alot more than that. Just keep following the plan and you will get the results you are looking for.

      PS... that's why I only weigh once a week

        Before I was put on medication I would gain 10lbs up to two weeks before my period and it would stay until my period was over. It was horrible. Now I gain up to 5lbs (salt gets me...). But usually it is just 1 or 2.

        My advice...NEVER weight yourself during this time.

          Thank you!! I am following the plan and drinking my water..I was thinking it was not work..sort of like a double whammy period and weight gain! haha thank you!

            Didn't anyone ever tell you, "NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, NEVER go anywhere NEAR your scale around your TOM".

            Water Gain and Tummy Bloat! Not a good thing. The Scale and TOM are worst enemies. I used to gain 8-10# during that time.
            (I am finally finished with that, but now my body argues with menopause weight gain---but I am finally winning!)
